SENS CEO Appointed to Critical Infrastructure Directorship

The Foundation for Resilient Societies, a non-profit organization engaged in scientific research and education with the goal of protecting critical infrastructure in technologically-advanced societies from infrequently occurring natural and man-made disasters, has appointed William Kaewert to its Board of Directors.  Kaewert is SENS CEO and Chief Technical Officer.

This appointment recognizes Mr. Kaewert’s deep expertise in critical electric power infrastructure, and his ability to represent pragmatic technology solutions to meet the challenges of infrastructure protection.

The Foundation for Resilient Societies is recognized for its policy expertise in the use of federal, state, and provincial regulation to protect electric grids from nuclear electromagnetic pulse, cyberattack, solar storms, and physical attack. The organization is frequently asked to appear before official government bodies and industry forums. Members have testified before the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on electric grid defense and also before the Senate National Security and Defense Committee of the Canadian Parliament. The Foundation is a recognized authority on long-term blackout and regulatory solutions.
