SENS Achieves 99.0% on time performance
November 5, 2005, Longmont, Colorado – SENS (Stored Energy Systems) has achieved a near perfect 99% overall on-time shipment record in 2005.
SENS builds all products to customer order rather than to stock using an advanced production system called “Lean.” Lean is a process of continual improvement that reduces waste and time from the assembly process, while at the same time improving quality. SENS posts on-time shipment performance each month on its web site at http://www.sens-usa.com/en/about-sens/service-excellence/?MENU_ID=30.
SENS achieved its highest ever on-time performance despite record unit shipments and demand for newer design products such as its NRG and ECU ultra-reliable battery chargers. According to SENS president Bill Kaewert, “this accomplishment is only possible thanks to excellent supplier relationships and a highly dedicated, intelligent and hard-working team of people at SENS.”
SENS non-stop DC power products have been a key component of mission-critical systems around the world for the past 34 years. The company’s DC Power Systems and high reliability battery chargers keep infrastructure equipment powered-up despite grid failure. Some customers report battery life increases of 400% after switching to SENS products.
