      SuperTorque® 8ZR

      Factory Packaged Complete Genset Starting System

      For mission critical gensets, the SuperTorque® 8Z has revolutionized industrial engine starting. The new SuperTorque® 8ZR is a complete system. It radically increases engine starting reliability, frees up significant space in engine enclosures, eliminates battery maintenance and replacement, and makes specification and installation of the entire engine DC system so much simpler.

      Prewired. Preassembled.

      The integrated racking, best battery selectors, alternator and engine panel power redundancy, and DC disconnects allow engine manufacturers, integrators, dealers, and datacenters to specify the entire engine DC system with a single part number.

      Our SuperTorque® 8Z is included, with its powerful high-performance nickel-zinc (NiZn) battery and embedded MicroGenius2 SENS charger, optimized for NiZn charging. The charger accepts universal AC input (100-240 volts, 50 or 60 Hz) via either IEC 320 connector and cord or hardwired conduit.

      Configured for your engine

      A fully integrated system with one to four SuperTorque 8Zs. Configure the 8Zs in parallel or in isolated banks for engine and redundancy requirements. Add integrated Best Battery Selector (BBS) and/or alternator and engine panel power redundancy.

      2. What is an integrated BBS?

      A Best Battery Selector couples two isolated 8Z banks together for engine starting power redundancy.

      3. What is an integrated BCS?

      A BCS provides alternator and engine control power redundancy. It couples an engine alternator feed to each isolated 8Z bank and provides a single power feed from the isolated 8Z banks for engine control power redundancy.

      12. Will I save time compared to installing individual components?

      Yes, on average you’ll save 6 hrs per unit vs. installing separate components. It ships ready for drop-in installation in your engine.

      13. How much less space will I have compared to my existing system?

      In general, the 8ZR results in well over a 75% reduction in space required at the engine compared to lead-acid and NiCad battery systems

      14. Are there lower emissions?
